title: Options trading as a sentence
description: How a position on OptionHouse works, and how providing liquidity to its pool works.
---

OptionHouse turns an options trade into one sentence. You say what you want to make, on which asset, which way and by when. You see what it costs and what you could make, before you pay.

On the other side of every position is the pool. Anyone can provide liquidity to it by buying pool notes, and earn when traders lose.

:::note

Today OptionHouse is a concept demo with paper money. No funds move, and pool notes don't exist yet. Nothing here is an offer of them.

## Two ways in

- **[Traders](/docs/traders)**: write a sentence, pay once, and know the most you can lose before you do.
- **[Liquidity providers](/docs/liquidity)**: back the pool with pool notes, and share in its results, good and bad.

[Try it on devnet](/docs/devnet) with test dollars from your own wallet.
