Try it on devnet

Trade and provide liquidity from your own wallet, with test dollars on Solana's devnet.

Devnet is OptionHouse on Solana’s test network. You open positions and provide liquidity from your own wallet, as you would with real money, but every dollar is a test dollar.

Get started

  1. Switch to Devnet. In the app, switch the network from Local, the paper demo, to Devnet.
  2. Connect your wallet. Use a Solana wallet that supports Wallet Standard, set to devnet.
  3. Get test dollars. Tap Get test USDC. Your first grant also sends a little devnet SOL, for your positions’ rent and network fees.

You can ask for test dollars a few times a day. If you ask too often, the app tells you how long to wait.

Trading

A position works as it does in the paper demo. You write the sentence and see what you pay and what you could make. Then you hold to pay, and your wallet asks you to approve the position before it’s sent.

Some wallets can’t describe an OptionHouse position, so they show it as a transaction they don’t recognise. That’s expected. On a Ledger, turn on blind signing in its Solana app to approve it.

Each open position holds about 0.0023 SOL of rent in your wallet’s name; it comes back when the position settles or you cash out. Your wallet also pays a small network fee in SOL each time you open a position or cash out, which doesn’t come back, even when the pool refuses the position on chain.

Prices refresh every second or so. If the pool asks you to wait a moment, try again shortly.

If a position is unsure

If sending a position is interrupted, the app marks it Unsure. You can cancel it from your wallet, or wait for it to land. Either way, you pay for a position at most once.

Providing liquidity

You can deposit test dollars for pool notes and take them out, as Liquidity providers explains. A deposit or a take-out is a request, and it completes when the pool next updates.

The devnet Liquidity page shows no returns.

Mainnet

Mainnet appears in the network switch, but it isn’t open yet.
