Cashing out

Sell a position back to the pool before its date, at its price now.

You don’t have to wait for the date. A position has a price every moment until it ends, and you can sell it back to the pool.

What cashing out pays

The pool buys your position back at its price now, less its margin, about 5%. Before you confirm, you see what you would get and your result if you cash out.

The price rises as the asset heads where your position wins, and firms up as time runs out with it there. The nearer the date, the more it follows the final payout.

Buying and then selling straight away pays the margin twice, so it loses money.

Until when

You can cash out until 15 minutes before the position’s date. After that, the position settles at 08:00 UTC.
